“Sierra is our almost 6 year old daughter. She is just as sassy as any 6 year old you’ve met. She was diagnosed with an extremely rare genetic disorder at 3 months old called Malignant Migrating Partial Epilepsy of Infancy. She can’t walk, talk, or eat on her own, and she also has cortical vision impairment.
Sierra was not supposed to live past 1 year old, but will be 6 soon! There are more underlying issues arising the older and bigger she gets, but she is such a strong little girl. She has gone through 3 surgeries and multiple hospital stays since birth.
Sierra was in preschool for 2 years, and is now in kindergarten and LOVES it! She loves all of the love and support she gets from everyone who come into contact with her.
We have had incredible support from Hope 4 MVC Kids to get Sierra a special tomato chair and rolling tray, which helps her to be lower to the ground, and be more involved with our other 2 children. Hope 4 MVC Kids had also supplied Sierra with an iPad to help her with her fine motor skills, and to eventually be able to use switches and apps on the iPad to help her communicate, and to also have fun. We cannot thank Hope 4 MVC Kids enough for all of their love and support for Sierra.”
