Eligibility

Support is not dependent on the type of illness, but upon a recognized medical condition and support the family/child requires.

What is the eligibility and selection criteria of the families?

Hope 4 MVC Kids Society covers all families with children in Mountain View County aged 0-18 (chronological age not development age), when the child has a medical diagnosis from a certified medical practitioner. This could be in the form of a doctor, physiotherapist, psychologist, Occupational therapist, School Outreach worker consented by parent to disclose. For equipment a certified current letter or prescription is required along with quotes by 2 sources. 

The Families must reside within the boundary of Mountain View County. (See map below)

How we distribute funds to families

Car Parking Fees – Prepaid credit card in $100 increments
Meals – Prepaid credit card in $100 increments
Accomodation Costs (Hotel) – Paid directly to hotel
Accomodation Costs (Rent) – Paid directly to landlord
Accomodation Costs (Mortgage) – Paid directly to bank/mortgage provider
Assistance with costs associated with sibling care – Paid directly to childcare provider
Fuel – Prepaid gas card
Groceries – Grocery store gift cards
Assistance with medical bill costs – Pair directly to provider of service
Assistance with Utility bill costs – Paid directly to Utility provider
Equipment needed for the child in home or school – Paid directly to the equipment provider
Therapy for the child – Paid directly to the therapy provider
Prescription drugs not covered under medical insurance – Payable to Pharmacy provider
Surgeries/alternatives outside Canada – Payaple to provider
