On August 26th, 2021 our twin girls Callie and Harper were born at 24 weeks and 4 days. They were born at the Sundre hospital and then from there transferred to the foothills NICU. We spent 4 months living in Calgary staying at the Ronald McDonald house to be close to our girls and Hope 4 MVC kids made that possible. The financial support that Hope 4 MVC kids offer makes it possible for parents to be able to take time off work to be with their children while they receive medical care. Hope 4 MVC kids completely took our stress away and we were able to focus on our girls and getting them home. Without Hope 4 MVC kids our journey and many others would have looked much different. We cannot thank Hope 4 MVC kids enough for their generosity and for giving us the opportunity to be with our girls through the scariest time of our lives.
The girls are now almost a year old and continue to thrive every day! They are definitely delayed when it comes to milestones when compared to other one-year-olds but that’s ok as they are only corrected age of 8 months. So far neither Callie nor Harper have any major health issues due to being premature. You wouldn’t be able to recognize the premature 1-and-a-half-pound babies that we welcomed into the world!
Thank you so much Hope 4 MVC kids for supporting our family and so many others past and future!
