“Our son had been struggling in school with undiagnosed issues for years. We learned of MVCHope4Kids program after a very challenging week around Christmas. Almost daily, we were getting phone calls regarding issues with our son at school. We needed help.
After reaching out to MVCHope4Kids, they made a decision very quickly to approve and support our family to help us get the assessment we so badly needed. We finally have the answers we have been waiting years to hear. Without the funding MVCHope4Kids provided for the assessment, we would still be unsure how to help our son at school and at home. We now have ideas how to help him succeed in life.
The assessment was done by Core Psychology in Olds. Megan Munroe was fabulous with our son and he was very comfortable opening up to her through 2 assessment half days. We received a very thorough report about our son, his strengths and weaknesses, most importantly his diagnosis and strategies to help support him at home and school.
We would not have been able to afford doing a private psychoeducational assessment out of our own pocket. We would have been still waiting for an assessment date years down the road without this amazing organization.
