“Our son was born at the end of January and we spent six days in PICU at Children’s in Calgary. We were able to go back home till the beginning of April when we went back to Children’s for three weeks to have his surgery. COVID hit us hard as we were both laid off and then let go from our jobs. Being away from home, having no jobs and multiple weeks in hospital, expenses were adding up.
We heard about Hope 4 MVC Kids while we were staying at the hospital. We were excited to learn that there was local support for us. We were pleasantly surprised at how much help there is available through Hope 4 MVC Kids Society and the fantastic communication/rapid response they provided. We received help from Hope 4 MVC Kids for our son’s medication since surgery. We have to get a refill every two weeks, so not having to worry about this continuing expense has been a blessing. It was one burden that was taken off our plates. We feel so blessed to live in this community and the amazing support available!”
